Challenge to Change, Inc Mindfulness program
This program offers 8 lessons structured to align with Iowa’s CASEL Top 5 standards. Within each lesson, students receive time to become more self-aware, are given opportunities to self-manage, as well as be cognizant of their social interactions and decisions. The layout of each lesson remains consistent in structure, although each lesson centers around a main idea with varied supplemental activities.

Time and space to transition into the lesson in various ways.
Mindful Movement
Opportunities for the students to engage with each other through various activities as well as pay attention to their physical, mental and emotional movements.

Dives deeper into the activity from the Mindful Movement section to help guide students through connection and understanding with each other.
Guided Mindfulness
Allows students time to reflect on the lesson through equitable time to make their own choices and decisions.

Lessons are designed for 30 minutes, where a trained and certified Yoga in the Schools Instructor can visit a classroom once a month within a regularly scheduled day to pilot the lesson, allowing the classroom teacher to assist.
